Don’t Be the Next Victim of Theft

March 2009

Over the past few weeks, Concordia University Community has had an increasing number of thefts. We are asking you to be vigilant by not leaving your valuables unattended, even for just a few minutes. A few seconds out of your sight is all a thief needs to steal your valuables.

Safety tips to help you avoid becoming the next victim;
Endorse best practice in awareness wherever you are;
Call security services if you see someone or something suspicious;
Unattended personal belongings are what a thief is looking for;
Report all incidence of theft or suspicious activity to security services ASAP;
If you need to step away from your office even for a few minutes, make sure you close and lock your door;
Take your valuables with you, don’t leave them unattended, or lock them away in a safe place;
Your security and safety is our priority;
